A growing mid-size east coast law firm, are a mid to senior level Trusts and Estates Associate to join its Private Client Services group.
Our client are seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Associate with 3-7 years of experience in estate planning and administration. The ideal candidate will have expertise in sophisticated drafting, asset protection, and wealth transfer techniques. This role offers significant responsibility, including direct client interaction and the opportunity to work on complex projects for high net worth clients.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive estate planning and administration services to clients.
Draft sophisticated trust and estate documents tailored to client needs.
Utilize asset protection and wealth transfer techniques to optimize client outcomes.
Prepare gift tax returns and estate tax returns as needed.
Handle probate administration matters and navigate related legal processes.
Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the NY bar
3-7 years of experience in trusts and estates law, preferably in a reputable law firm.
Strong understanding of estate planning principles and techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
LLM in estate planning or tax preferred but not required.
